Nieuwe iPod Touch zal maar lichte verbetering vergeleken met zijn voorganger
Het lijkt er steeds meer op dat er dit najaar een witte iPod Touch aan zit te komen. Zo hebben we al verscheidene witte onderdelen uit zien lekken voor een mogelijk nieuwe iPod Touch. Bovendien hadden wij van onze bron vernomen dat deze iPod Touch 3G-compatibiliteit zal bevatten, maar nu heeft MacRumors van een anonieme bron vernomen dat de nieuwe iPod Touch zeer weinig zal verschillen van zijn voorganger.
Hetgeen wat volgens deze bron nieuw zal zijn is een verbeterde lichtsensor, betere coating op het scherm voor vlekken etc en wij denken nog dat deze mogelijk de A5-processor zal bevatten. Voor nu blijft het dus nog onduidelijk of de nieuwe iPod Touchs 3G zullen ondersteunen, maar zodra we meer weten kun je het op AppleSpot lezen.
MacRumors has received information indicating that the next iPod touch revision will be a very minor change, with the primary addition being the introduction of a new white model. Only minor changes are expected for the existing hardware, with the addition of an oleophobic coating for the display and a revised ambient light sensor seemingly being the main differences. Otherwise, we expect the models to be nearly identical to the current fourth-generation iPod touch model.
This news would conflict with ambitious reports of 3G-enabled iPod touches this year, and also extinguish speculation that the tapered iPhone 5 case design might actually have represented the fifth-generation iPod touch.
